Author Guidelines

Scope

Academic Communications publishes original research articles, communications, and reviews across all fields of natural sciences and engineering. We welcome submissions from researchers at all career stages.

Manuscript Preparation

Submissions should include:

  • Title and author list with affiliations
  • Abstract (150–300 words)
  • Keywords (3–6)
  • Main text with appropriate sections
  • References in a standard citation format
  • Figures and tables with captions

Submission Methods

We offer two submission pathways:

  1. Direct Upload: Submit a completed manuscript in Word (.docx) format through your dashboard.
  2. AI-Assisted: Upload raw research materials (PPT, data files, notes) and our AI Writing Assistant will generate a manuscript draft for your review.

Required Disclosures

  • Conflict of interest statement
  • Ethics approval (if applicable)
  • Data availability statement
  • Funding information
  • Author contributions (CRediT format)
  • AI use disclosure (automatically included for AI-assisted manuscripts)

Review Process

All submissions undergo editorial review. Our goal is to provide decisions within 14 days. Manuscripts may be accepted, returned for revision, or declined.

Article Identifiers

We use continuous article numbering within each volume. Each article receives a unique DOI and article ID (e.g., e2026001). Citation format:

Author et al. Acad. Commun. 2026, 1, e2026001. DOI: 10.xxxxx/ac.2026.0001
